Chicago Region Update - September 9, 2026

This month, I want to tell you about a mother who walked into our clinic determined to have an abortion. Her husband travels a lot for work, and she already had a child at home. In her mind, another baby just wasn't possible.

We started the ultrasound, and the moment we let her hear her baby's heartbeat, she broke down in tears. She went home, talked it through with her husband, and they decided to keep their baby.

That's a quick telling of the whole model in one moment. We don't just tell a woman what's true, we let her encounter it, and then we stay with her while she processes what that means for her family.

Love isn't affirming whatever a woman already believes about her situation. Love is giving her the chance to see and hear the truth and then walking alongside her no matter what she decides.

Every time we send the mobile unit out, we're expecting God to do exactly what he did with this mom. Right now, we're running that unit to three different locations, and each one comes with its own set of challenges. I'd ask you to pray with me on a few fronts this month.

Pray for the staff and volunteers who show up to run the mobile unit. Pray that the hearts of the moms we meet there would actually hear us when we make our case for their babies' lives. And pray that God would clear the obstacles in front of us, strengthen our team, and save lives through that unit.

We also had a great community day recently where we gave out diapers, wipes, clothes, and coats to moms in our area. Dozens of women walked away with real, practical help for their families.

I'm grateful for this baby's life, for every woman we got to serve this month, and for you. Your prayers and your partnership are the reason any of this is possible.
