This month, I want to tell you about a mother who walked into our clinic determined to have an abortion. Her husband travels a lot for work, and she already had a child at home. In her mind, another baby just wasn't possible. We started the ultrasound, and the moment we let her hear her baby's heartbeat, she broke down in tears. She went home, talked it through with her husband, and they decided to keep their baby. That's a quick telling of the whole model in one moment.

There's a scripture that I love that shows the heart of God. It is Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." I thought of that verse again a few weeks ago when a mom walked back into our Racine Clinic, not for an appointment this time, but to say thank you. If you've been around Alliance for any length of time, you know I love a good story with a happy ending. This one has four! Three moms in three weeks got connected with Alliance for something called abortion pill reversal. These three moms here in the Nashville region called us in the middle of a decision they'd already started to regret. Each of them had begun the abortion pill process, which is a two-step regimen, and each of them changed her mind after that first step.

A few things I want to share with you from Schaumburg and Elgin. First, some good news worth celebrating! We've been walking with a woman for a while now who wasn't planning on having her baby. She kept coming back to see us, appointment after appointment, and at her last visit, she brought her boyfriend with her. They've chosen life! I'm always reminded, when this happens, that the win isn't just a baby saved. It's a step toward Jesus, and we get to walk alongside that.

Our first appointment here in Fargo was not the typical situation I expected. A couple came in with several concerns including health. After educating and recommending them to consult their provider before making any decisions, they left seemingly still set on abortion. Even though the situation felt bleak, my receptionist and I fervently prayed after they left that God would move.
