Fargo Region Update – August 12, 2026

Our first appointment here in Fargo was not the typical situation I expected. A couple came in with several concerns including health. After educating and recommending them to consult their provider before making any decisions, they left seemingly still set on abortion. Even though the situation felt bleak, my receptionist and I fervently prayed after they left that God would move. I called on personal prayer teams to pray for them, and our community prayed for them at our monthly prayer gathering, together, out loud.

A week later, on a follow-up phone call, they told us they are planning to keep their baby.

I do not tell you that to make it sound simple, because it was not. It could have gone in a totally different direction, but we live by faith, not by sight. We hope against all hope. And we do not always get to see how a conversation or prayer is going to impact someone. We just do what we're called to and trust God with the rest.

Since our soft opening, five women have walked through our doors here in Fargo. Five women have had the mercy of hearing and seeing life-giving truth. Every one of them has a story I am still praying for, and I would ask you to join us in praying for them, too.

As we continue to grow in our community, there are two events that I would love for you to know about.

Our monthly prayer gathering was last night. Around 20 saints broke into small groups and prayed through the clinic together for about an hour. It has become the heartbeat, truly the most vital part of everything we do here at Alliance, and you are invited to join us for it.

If you couldn't make it last night, we hold this on the second Monday of every month at 7pm at the clinic (next on Sept.14th). In addition to the story above I’ve seen the power of this prayer time at work every day at Alliance, so come and take part in the work God is doing.

Coming up next, we are celebrating our Grand Opening on August 27th, from 4:30 to 6:30pm. It is the public celebration of what God did to open our doors in Fargo, of women having a life-giving place to come in crisis, of seeing some choose life for their children and themselves, and of the vision of our continued growth in our community. I would love to see you there!

Thank you for being part of this ministry with us, whether through prayer, giving, volunteering, or just paying attention to what God is doing in Fargo. Though our work is still young here, He is already showing us why it matters.

In Christ,

Rachel Letvin

Fargo Regional Director

There's a scripture that I love that shows the heart of God. It is Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." I thought of that verse again a few weeks ago when a mom walked back in
