Knoxville Region Update – August 12, 2026

I have to start with a praise report. We are getting so close to having our permits approved with the city, which means we get to move into full construction mode soon. Our construction crew is ready to go, finishes are being picked out, materials are starting to arrive, and we can finally see how this little 126-year-old building is going to become a clinic.

I sat in the building this week and just cried and laughed thinking about all God is already doing there...and we aren’t even open yet. I thought, “Lord, You really do have a sense of humor.” This little building still has a long way to go, but I can see it.  The vision is becoming more and more a reality. I can picture women walking through those doors and finding compassionate medical care, truth about what is happening in their bodies and with their pregnancies, practical support, and most importantly, the hope of the Gospel.

We're still praying for the right Nurse Manager to lead the clinic with excellence and compassion. This is a big one. If you know someone who might be a good fit, or know someone who does, please send them our way. God has never been late to fill a gap for us yet, and I don't expect Him to start now.

One more thing I've realized I haven't really told you about is our Amazon registry. I’ve posted it on Facebook, but that’s about it. We've had one for a while with supplies and other items we need to get the clinic ready to open. If you've wondered what we still need or would like to purchase something directly for the clinic, you can see the list here. Lowe’s gift cards are especially helpful right now since we still have quite a few building materials to purchase.

Please keep praying with us for:

·       Our permits to be approved

·       The right Nurse Manager for Alliance Women's Clinic

·       Every woman, baby, and family God has already planned to walk through these doors

Thank you for staying in this with us. God continues to bring the people, prayers, resources, and willing hands needed to bring this clinic to life, often before we even know we need them.

He continues to go before us in every detail, and we're so grateful you're on this journey with us.

Grateful for you,

Breanne Houston

Knoxville Regional Director

There's a scripture that I love that shows the heart of God. It is Jeremiah 1:5: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." I thought of that verse again a few weeks ago when a mom walked back in
