Knoxville Region Update - October 15, 2026
If there is one thing the Lord has been teaching me through this clinic, it is that waiting does not mean He isn’t working. Throughout Scripture, God’s people waited. Abraham and Sarah waited for the son God promised. Joseph waited years to see God’s purposes unfold. David was anointed long before he became king. The Israelites wandered in the wilderness before entering the Promised Land.
The waiting was never wasted.
I have to remind myself of that often in this season. After months of delays, repairs, praying, planning, and more patience than I thought I had…the framing is finally up!
For the first time, we can walk through the clinic and see the rooms we’ve prayed about for so long. We can stand where a woman will receive an ultrasound, where someone will sit and hear her story and share the hope of the Gospel, and where a mom will choose things she needs for her baby. And even while we wait to open, God is already providing.
My sweet friends Mary and Melody recently hosted a beautiful baby shower for the clinic, inviting their friends and family to collect items to stock the baby boutique. The generosity was incredible! We are preparing in the waiting.
There is still much to do, and right now I need your help with some of the practical items that will help finish the clinic and prepare to serve families. We’ve added several needs to our Amazon Wish List, especially the lights we need throughout the clinic, along with items for each room and the baby boutique.
Every item purchased is one more piece in place for the day these doors finally open. We don’t know the name of the first woman who will walk through them yet. But God does. So while we wait for her, we’re going to keep preparing for her. Thank you for praying, giving, serving, and waiting alongside us. God is working even here, in the waiting.
