If you've been around Alliance for any length of time, you know I love a good story with a happy ending. This one has four!
Three moms in three weeks got connected with Alliance for something called abortion pill reversal. These three moms here in the Nashville region called us in the middle of a decision they'd already started to regret. Each of them had begun the abortion pill process, which is a two-step regimen, and each of them changed her mind after that first step.
When a mom changes her mind after taking the first abortion pill, there is still hope. In simple terms, we get to step in medically and try to save that baby's life after the process has already begun.
Three calls. Three moms who paused, reconsidered, and reached out. That is not something we take lightly, and it's not something we take credit for either. It's a privilege to be the ones who get to answer that phone.
And here's something really exciting. The very first baby saved through an abortion pill reversal here in our Franklin clinic, a process that started at the end of last year, was born just a couple of months ago. A real, living, breathing kid who gets to grow up because his mom made a call and our team was ready to answer it.
I want to celebrate this with you, because in my opinion it's one of the best things we get to do. Plus, I like to celebrate! But, I also want to invite you into something more than celebration.
Each of the three recent moms is still early in her story. Pregnancy after a reversal isn't guaranteed to go smoothly, and these babies need continued growth and health just like any other child. So, would you pray with me? Pray for these three moms, for peace in what's probably still a complicated season for them, and for the health of these babies as they continue to grow.
This is the kind of work that reminds me why I do what I do. It's not abstract. It's not theoretical. It's a mom on the other end of a phone line and a team in Franklin who shows up for her, day or night. I get to watch that happen, and because of your support, I get to invite you to watch it too.
Thank you for being part of this. Keep praying with us. There's more to come.
